Monks中国团队携手拳头游戏《英雄联盟手游》推出愚人节特别企划 —— 波比首次登场并同步上线愚人节皮肤。

全球数字营销巨头Monks(S4 Capital集团旗下品牌)携手拳头游戏《英雄联盟手游》推出伪纪录片《BTS: Y.A.P.S | 皮肤预告片——英雄联盟手游》,以庆祝人气英雄波比的首次登场。此次愚人节特别企划推出了专为该春日狂欢打造的"愚人节波比皮肤"。


‍‍Together with Monks, the global, purely digital, data-driven, unitary operating brand of S4 Capital plc, WildRift is thrilled to launch the "mockumentary", BTS: Y.A.P.S | Skin Trailer - League of Legends: Wild Rift for the highly anticipated debut of Poppy, the beloved champion. This special April Fool’s Day campaign features the introduction of an April Fool's Poppy skin, designed exclusively for the occasion.



波比是元老级约德尔英雄,其在手游的登场始终为广大玩家所期待。很长一段时间里,《英雄联盟手游》玩家甚至怀疑官方是否已经遗忘了波比。2024年10月,在版本前瞻视频中,《英雄联盟手游》创意总监Ke以幽默的方式回应了大家的猜测,他意味深长地说道:"...看看这次我的灵感会如何‘波’动吧"。这个巧妙的双关预告如同投入湖面的巨石,瞬间在玩家社群激起千层浪。


Being one of the OG yordles, fans of Poppy have long speculated about the arrival of Poppy, with many wondering if Wild Rift had forgotten about the Yordle champion. In October 2024, Wild Rift Creative Director Ke playfully teased the community during a Patch Preview, hinting at Poppy’s upcoming debut with a cryptic statement: “...and see what pops in my head.” This lighthearted moment confirmed the long-awaited arrival of Poppy, generating a wave of excitement.

为庆祝元老级约德尔英雄波比登陆《英雄联盟手游》并融入愚人节特有的玩味氛围,本次活动以别出心裁的风趣形式,首度曝光波比新皮肤的研发内幕。拳头游戏内部的"约德尔人优化与玩法部"(简称Y.A.P.S.团队),致力于让约德尔人在手游中大放异彩。此次企划通过一支伪纪录片式短片,带领玩家深入拳头游戏总部,揭秘Y.A.P.S.团队如何通过不懈努力精心打磨出波比的全新皮肤,推动约德尔人成为《英雄联盟手游》的焦点。


‍‍As a tribute to the historical launch of Yordle OG Poppy’s character in Wild Rift and the spirit of April Fool’s Day,  the campaign takes a playful approach by offering an inside look at the creative process behind Poppy’s new skin. Enter Y.A.P.S. (Yordle Advancement and Play Style), a team at Riot Games tasked with ensuring yordles thrive in Wild Rift. Through a mockumentary-style video, fans are taken behind the scenes of Riot Games, where the Y.A.P.S. team works tirelessly to perfect Poppy’s new skin and bring yordles to the forefront of the Wild Rift experience.

这部以伪纪录片形式呈现的作品,通过风趣诙谐的旁白与幽默反转的剧情,记录了拳头游戏员工为打造完美的波比皮肤而倾注心血的创作历程。影片以真实而趣味横生的视角,向观众展现了研发团队的造“肤”过程,其中,重点突出了团队在优化约德尔英雄的操作机制、技能设计与整体玩法体验所做的努力。


‍‍The mockumentary, filled with witty commentary and humorous twists, showcases real Riot Games staff members and their dedication to creating the perfect skin for Poppy. Viewers are treated to an authentic yet lighthearted perspective on the development process, highlighting the team’s efforts to improve yordles’ mechanics, abilities, and overall playstyle.

‍‍Poppy’s new skin, designed specifically for April Fool’s Day, incorporates unique, handmade elements that draw inspiration from other yordles, giving Poppy a quirky but fun look.

Instead of an over-the-top stunt, we created a fictional team that shares the same passion and dedication as our fans and the Wild Rift community. 本次企划的用意远不止于介绍《英雄联盟手游》推出约德尔传奇英雄波比及其炫酷新皮肤,更是在于礼赞《英雄联盟手游》玩家社群对约德尔文化的热爱,通过叙事创新加深品牌与受众的情感纽带。Monks团队联袂《英雄联盟手游》研发组,深入研读大量社交媒体内容与趋势、玩家评论及英雄宇宙设定,力求在这部伪纪录片中精准还原游戏文化基因,埋设诸多令资深玩家会心一笑的隐藏彩蛋。这部虚实交织的开发者日志既为大家带来了娱乐体验,亦彰显游戏创作背后的炽热情怀。游戏官方更是号召玩家创作UGC内容参与庆典,共同沉浸于波比登陆《英雄联盟手游》的欢乐氛围中。


This campaign is not just about launching the Poppy, the epic Yordle champion, in Wild Rift, and the fun new skin, but also about celebrating the League of Legends: Wild Rift community and their love for yordles and creating an even-deeper connection with the brand and its audiences. The team at Monks, along with Wild Rift team, dove deep into almost a decade of social posts, fan commentaries, Champion lores to depict the mockumentary as accurately as possible and fill it with easter eggs for the fans.  The mockumentary is designed to entertain while showcasing the passion and creativity behind the game. Fans are encouraged to share their own content, join in the celebration, and immerse themselves in the fun of Poppy’s arrival in Wild Rift.

We aim to give back to the community by creating a mockumentary developer logs that showcase how Wild Rift takes their ideas seriously and integrates them into the skin design. This approach fosters a remote dialogue with our fans, enhancing their engagement in an organic way. The whole process is full of joy, and we are committed to taking everything seriously, just like Poppy.” said Eunice Ying, Lead Producer at Monks China.
